Hugh Jackman celebrates ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’s success by recreating a classic meme

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has been a huge success around the world throughout its opening weekend, and its main stars celebrate appropriately.

Wolverine lying face up on the bed with a photo in his hands. In the second image, the plane changes and the viewer visualizes the content of the photograph. It is one of the most widespread memes of the superhero, which now comes to life from the hand of Hugh Jackman himself. The actor who has brought the character to life for more than 20 years has shared a recreation of the meme to celebrate the triumph of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ at the box office, this time with his own face. In the frame he holds you can read: “# 1 movie in the world.”

With the humorous tone that characterizes him, Deadpool himself couldn’t resist and published his own version of the meme. He also appears lying in bed, dressed in his full suit, including the mask. The nostalgic photograph captures nothing more and nothing less than the meme of Wolverine tasting the success of his film, quite a meta meme.

The long-awaited Marvel Studios film features Cassandra Nova as the villain, a character played by Emma Corrin who MeriStation had the opportunity to interview: “I feel lucky because Cassandra is so strange and a little out of step with the pace of the movie, since it is a very dynamic film with a very specific humor.” In her own words, when she appears the rhythm of the movie pauses a little. “She is a weirdo, and her extravagance is somewhat directed towards comedy.”

Deadpool and Wolverine’ is now available in cinemas around the world. With more than 400 million dollars raised during its opening weekend, the film is already the highest-grossing in history within the Rated-R category.
