If you have a PS4 or PS5, you can get several months of Apple TV+ for free.
Users of both PlayStation consoles will be able to enjoy the catalog of shows and movies at no additional cost for a limited trial period.
PlayStation has a very tempting offer for those who own their consoles. From now until July 31, PS4 and PS5 gamers can get a free trial of Apple TV+, giving them access to the platform’s entire catalog of shows and movies.
While those with a previous generation console (PlayStation 4) will get 3 months free, those with the latest console will get 6 months at no additional cost. To take advantage of this offer, all you need to do is own one of these consoles and meet two very simple requirements: a PlayStation Network account and a valid Apple ID.
How to redeem the offer
- Find the Apple TV app from your PS4 console’s TV and Video section.
- Download and open the Apple TV app, and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Sign in with your Apple ID, or create an Apple ID if you don’t already have one.
- Enjoy your extended trial of Apple TV+.
In the FAQ section, PlayStation confirms that the offer can only be redeemed with the console. What happens if I already have a free trial or current subscription? The offer is cumulative, so the additional months will be added. However, they do clarify that “If you’ve subscribed to Apple TV+ through a bundle offer like Apple One, you are not eligible to redeem this offer”.
Apple TV+ is Apple’s foray into streaming content. Like Netflix, HBO Max or Disney+, anyone can subscribe without having to buy a proprietary device. It is not the first time that PlayStation offers a similar service on this platform.
