If you like Stardew Valley, you’re going to enjoy the latest Game Pass game

If you’re looking for your next cozy farming game, there’s no substitute to an absolute classic. And luckily, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is now on Xbox Game Pass

Update:
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town

Xbox Game Pass has just received a new batch of games for subscribers to enjoy, and among them you’ll be able to find Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.

Coming in as the last release on the service for the month of June, this specific title is actually a remake of the highly regarded entry for the Game Boy Advance, back when the series was still known by the name of Harvest Moon. It’s a long story, but you just need to know that this is part of the original series of farming games created and developed by Marvelous Inc.

The farming life is here to get rid of your free time

This new version of the classic was released back in 2020 under some pretty good reviews, but suffice it to know that fans of the series have been very happy with it. If you’re looking to know more about what to expect of the game, take a look at the official synopsis of the game:

“Experience the joys of life on the farm in this reimagining of a timeless STORY OF SEASONS classic! Your farming life begins in Mineral Town, a charming village surrounded by nature. You’ve returned after many years to restore your late grandfather’s farm to its former glory. Care for crops, livestock, and more as your very own story of seasons unfolds.”

It’s pretty self explanatory, but if you didn’t know of the series before, it’s one of the main inspirations for the indie mega-hit Stardew Valley, and it shares many concepts and mechanics, from farming and mining, to making friends and getting married with the friendly people of the small village the title takes place.

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Time is now available to download for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
