‘Inside Out 2′ now has a physical and digital release date
Feelings are closer to home.
The massive success of ‘Inside Out 2′ has positioned it as one of the winners of the summer, becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time during its box office run. It’s coming to the Disney+ streaming service soon, but before that, there are other ways for fans or those who didn’t see it in theaters to get their hands on it.
Inside Out 2 will soon be available in physical and digital formats
Pixar’s latest film will be available for rental in digital format on August 20 in platforms like Prime Video, Fandango at Home, and Apple TV. In addition, Disney also announced the physical edition of the film on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, as well as a limited edition Steelbook on 4K Blu-ray, which will arrive on September 10. This last edition will be exclusive to the US.
‘Inside Out 2′, a box office hit
One of the greatest achievements of Pixar’s latest film was to become a real success, breaking records such as the one set by Barbie in 2023 in its first weekend at the box office. On the other hand, as previously mentioned, the film managed to take the crown from one of Disney’s undisputed successes, Frozen II, becoming the highest-grossing animated film in history.
What is ‘Inside Out 2′ about?
While the first movie took us inside the mind of Riley Andersen, an 11-year-old girl experiencing a mixed emotion event like starting a new life away from home, the basic emotions of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust fight to keep Riley safe. In Inside Out 2, 2 years have passed, Riley is about to enter puberty and needs new emotions to go along with those changes. Adding to the list of new emotions is a new group that promises to explore the dynamics and influence Riley’s growing up journey as the new teen attends field hockey camp and says goodbye to her friends before entering high school.
