Crimson Desert is the game of the moment. Pearl Abyss’s new open-world action RPG is a true phenomenon on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, boasting hundreds of thousands of active players. And as you might expect, given the colossal size of its open world and the vast number of secrets it hides, many people are wondering where to find that item they need, that weapon that will make them more powerful, that inhospitable place where a secret boss awaits…
Well, just as we saw with Elden Ring or Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, an interactive map of Crimson Desert has already been created, featuring all the weapons, bosses, dungeons, portals, secrets, and much more. You can access the map here, if your browser doesn’t allows you to see it below.

The problem is that most of its systems feel half-baked. There are plenty of gimmicky mini-mechanics that look great in a social media clip but don’t really carry much weight in the actual game. It’s a time sink. It’s packed with content. The sense of adventure is fantastic. The thing is, it shines when it plays to its strengths; when it tries to be something else, it falls short due to overambition.
