Invincible Season 2 gets a new trailer, poster revealed

A new Invincible Season 2 trailer has just been released at New York Comic Con 2023, giving fans one last quick look at what awaits them in the upcoming season ahead of its release on Friday, November 3, 2023. Prime Video ended their panel related to the Robert Kirkman’s comic turned animated series with a new look at what to expect. Take a look at the bloody, action packed, and very emotionally charged trailer, below.

Yesterday, the official Invincible Twitter/X account also revealed the official poster for Season 2 of the show. The image shows off the protagonist, Mark Grayson (AKA the titular Invincible), after what seems to have been an epic sized battle that has left him with his suit ripped and an angry scowl, literally mirroring his father, Omni-Man, in a puddle of blood.

A long wait for its return

Invincible debuted in March 2021 and became a hit among fans and critics. Shortly after Season 1 ended, it was announced that the series would be renewed not only for Season 2, but also for Season 3. Since then, we had a long wait till we saw something new earlier this year on July 2023. It took the return of San Diego Comic Con to finally have the first teaser of Season 2, a poster and the debut of a special episode about Atom Eve, that debuted that month on the streaming service.

What is Invincible about?

Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, Invincible tells the story of Mark Grayson, son of superhero Omni-Man, who, like his father, possesses otherworldly powers. Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons and Academy Award nominee Steven Yeun headline the voice cast, which also includes Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Zachary Quinto, Mark Hamill and Walton Goggins.
