Is Lars Farm, Luke Skywalker's home, in Star Wars Outlaws?
One of the planets featured in the video game is Tatooine, the birthplace of Anakin and his son.
The galaxy is big, but it all goes through Tatooine. In Star Wars Outlaws, the new Ubisoft Massive Entertainment production, protagonist Kay Vess must confront the Hutt cartel, work for them, and deal with their leader, the unpredictable Jabba the Hutt. Of course, a trip to the desert planet is a must. The outlaw will roam the desert sands in search of her long-awaited freedom. The developers have recreated this system very faithfully, as it is also one of the locations with an open structure - unlike Kijimi, which is much more closed. Has anyone wondered if Lars’ farm is in the video game? What happened to it after Luke Skywalker left?
Where is Lars’ farm in Star Wars Outlaws?
When you open the map, there is no reference to the Lars farm, but there are drawings of wet farms. Although Tatooine was covered in water in the distant past, it is all sand by the time of the classic trilogy. Faced with the scarcity of this natural resource, farmers take water from the atmosphere and make a living from it. This video game takes place between ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’, which means that Luke’s uncles have already been killed. The aspiring Jedi continues his training and his fight against the evil Galactic Empire.
If you look at any map of Tatooine, you will see that Luke’s house was in the south of the planet, not far from Mos Eisley. In the video game, it can be found in the southeast, near a workshop. The farm has been looted and is left to its fate. Luke Skywalker wanted nothing to do with Tatooine. There is no record that he had a fit of nostalgia after his return in ‘Return of the Jedi’ and visited the place. Be that as it may, it is curious to visit it as a player, another detail that underscores Massive Entertainment’s exceptional recreation.
