IShowSpeed health problems: What happens to him and when does he come back?

While traveling in Japan, popular YouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed was hospitalized after suffering some sort of severe migraine.

IShowSpeed, a popular YouTube livestreamer, was hospitalized in Tokyo on July 28 after experiencing severe migraine pain. The 19-year-old streamer, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr. shared videos and updates about his condition on social media, began experiencing severe migraine pain that turned into cluster headaches.

IShowSpeed shares his massive health concerns while in Tokyo

In his first update, IShowSpeed filmed himself describing the pain as “the worst experience of my life”. He said he was unable to open his eyes or do anything, adding that he had been experiencing the pain for several days and that it was getting worse. This is when he mentions that he has something called cluster headaches. He mentioned that he felt something pounding in his head.

In a later update, IShowSpeed’s father, Darren Watkins Sr., said that his son was “not feeling well” but that he was being taken care of while getting plenty of rest at their hotel. He also thanked IShowSpeed’s fans for their support.

Swelling Eye and Surgery

On July 30, IShowSpeed posted an update to his Snapchat story showing a completely swollen eye. In the short video, he mentioned that his eyes and head hurt. He was later taken to the hospital, and he made sure to post an update from the ambulance stating that he would be undergoing surgery for his health issue.

IShowSpeed was released from the hospital on August 1st and is now recovering at home. He has said that he is feeling “just fine” and that the swelling in his eye is “going down”. He also thanked his fans for their support.
