According to legend, the endless war between Kyogre and Groudon was stopped forever by the intervention of Rayquaza. The myth behind such a Pokémon is sidereal in nature. The ozone layer has been its home for millions of years, and meteorites are its favorite food. The mythical protagonist of Pokémon Emerald comes to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet this Christmas as the star of the Tera raids.
Everything you need to know about the Rayquaza Shiny Event in the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera raids
Rayquaza will be competing in the 5-Star Tera raids between December 20 and January 5. But this version of the mythical Pokémon is even more special. It will be Shiny, which will give it a bonus to capture that is not normally available in the ninth generation.
The Pokémon Company understands the challenge of defeating such a Pokémon. Therefore, until it arrives, Tera raids of some of the most useful Pokémon will be added to use against it. You will be able to face it with one of the following Pokémon.
First part of the event
- Corviknight and Bellibolt
- From November 29th to December 5th
Second part of the event
- Azumarill and Clodsire
- From December 6th to December 12th
Third part of the event
- Annihilape and Kingambit
- From December 13th to December 19th
The Shiny Festival Expands in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Rayquaza Shiny is not the only Shiny Pokémon-related event that will take place during the holiday season. During the same time frame, there will be mass appearances of Pokémon whose shiny version turns their appearance black. The selected Pokémon are Cetoddle, Carbink, and Fraxure in the Paldea Region, the Kitakami Region, and the Blueberry Academy Biodome, respectively.
