It’s official: ‘The Bear’ is bidding farewell for good with Season 5, and we now have a confirmed release date on FX
The acclaimed ‘comedy’ starring Jeremy Allen White will wrap up its story this summer.
As Jamie Lee Curtis mentioned a few months ago, the series finale of ‘The Bear’ will come with its fifth season. This has been confirmed by FX, which also announced that the series’ final eight episodes will premiere on June 26 on Disney+.
Season 5 kicks off the day after Sydney, Richie, and Natalie discover that Carmy has decided to leave the kitchen and put the restaurant in their hands. From there, the main characters will have to try to save the business despite a lack of funds and the dual threat of a possible sale and an approaching storm. To do so, they’ll have to pull off one last grand dinner service that will finally earn them the long-awaited Michelin star. Additionally, the official synopsis suggests that this final season will focus much more on human relationships than on the kitchen, planting the idea that a restaurant’s true perfection depends not only on the food, but also on the people who are part of it.
‘The Bear’ Surprises Fans with ‘Gary’
The confirmation that Season 5 of ‘The Bear’ will be the last comes just a few days after FX unexpectedly released ‘Gary’. This previously unseen episode, now available on Disney+, written by Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jon Bernthal, serves as a prequel and tells the story of the trip Richie and Mikey took to Gary, a city located in the state of Indiana.
