James Gunn sets right rumors of The Batman 2 being canceled

Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson’s sequel to ‘The Batman’ is not in any danger of being canceled, with James Gunn responding directly to the rumors.

When a sequel was announced for ‘The Batman’, the acclaimed film with Matt Reeves in the direction and Robert Pattinson in the role of Bruce Wayne, many questions arose around it, but the most obvious was how it would into the new DC Universe by James Gunn. Later, it would be revealed that this saga would be left out of said universe, while Gunn would work with another director to make a Dark Knight movie that was in the same new DC Universe.

This film will be called ‘The Brave & The Bold’, and it is still far from known who will be the chosen actor to put on the suit. However, we do know that Andrés Muschietti (‘The Flash’) will be the director, and he’ll have the responsibility of carrying out something at the level of Matt Reeves’ work, something that many fans have come to think could generate discomfort, to the point of rumors of a possible cancellation of which Gunn has spoken clearly and concisely.

Is the sequel to ‘The Batman’ in danger?

Of course not, " said Gunn in response to a fan, making it clear that neither this sequel to ‘The Batman’, nor a third installment - which is also planned - are in danger.

James Gunn is a person who does not spend too much time giving answers, but he doesn’t need to, since with just a few words he is able to make things very clear. More rumors suggested that Gunn himself does not have any type of power or influence over Reeves and Pattinson’s work with Batman, something he has equally adamantly denied. “All DC titles are under DC Studios”, which he and Peter Safran now command.
