Jeff Goldblum’s had an incredibly perfect reaction to Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU
Whenever you need a pick-me-up, you can’t go wrong with anything Jeff Goldblum. And he’s got words about the return of Robert Downey Jr. to his old stomping grounds.
Renowned actor Jeff Goldblum was interviewed by Josh Horowitz on his podcast Happy Sad Confused, in which he referred to the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU as the villain Victor Von Doom in the upcoming Avengers movies. The actor, who was part of ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ had no idea about it at first, much less who Dr. Doom was, so when he was asked about it his reaction was very comical.
Looking to the side without knowing what face to make, Goldblum was happy with the news and then noted “I think I vaguely heard the… yes, yes, I’d heard whispers on my peripheral. Yes, channels. Victor von Doom... I like that name. If my name had been Victor von Doom, I’d be a long further along than I am now. That’s a great name. Or Von to anything. Or Van.”
Answer about some movies from the past
The actor is also known for his roles in films such as ‘Independence Day’, ‘The Fly’, ‘Death Wish’ and ‘Jurassic Park’. About his career, Jeff Goldblum took host Josh Horowitz’s confession with humor when he referred to the film ‘Transylvania 6-5000′, a movie that he liked and that for him “didn’t work” despite having Geena Davis in the cast.
Goldblum boldly told him that he was sorry. After that, he began to put his hand in the back pocket of his pants and commented, “I’m sorry. I apologize. I have my wallet right here, if you want to refund. I don’t know what you spent on that ticket.”
Goldblum has not returned to the MCU
Although the Grand Master, Jeff Goldblum’s character in the MCU is still alive (after the end of ‘Thor Ragnarok’), he still doesn’t know if he will ever return to Marvel Studios. Prior to the launch of ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ he spoke with Entertainment Weeky and thought he could be part of the fourth installment of the God of Thunder, something that did not happen, but he acknowledged that he would like to work with Taika Waititi again and that he would go anywhere he was.
