Jim Carrey shaved his head for real while filming ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 3’ to become Robotnik
How dedicated is Jim Carrey to the Sonic the Hedgehog movie saga? Way more than others, as he chose to let his co-star shave his real hair on camera.
Jim Carrey continues to get involved like few others in the cinematic ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ saga, all this in the middle of his break in his career as an actor giving life to the hilarious Dr. Robotnik, the famous villain of the blue hedgehog universe created by Sega; and this time, for ‘Sonic 3′, he’s doubling down, since he will also play the bad guy’s grandfather, Dr. Gerald Robotnik. So much so, that in a new making-of video, you can see how they shave the actor’s real hair -quite long, by the way- to transform once again into Eggman.

Thus, in ‘Sonic 3′ the great threat will be Shadow (voiced by Keanu Reeves), forcing Sonic, Tales, Knuckles and company to resort to the help of Dr. Robotnik to try to save the world from the chaos and destruction Shadow wishes to unleash. However, Eggman has gone a little bad since his last adventure…
That is why Robotnik asks his faithful assistant, Agent Stone (Lee Majdoub) to improve your look before his return to his old ways, something that is reflected in a totally real way in front of the cameras. So much so, that the actor shaved off Jim Carrey’s long real hair as part of the film’s footage, something that is evident in this new style clip making of What you can see on these lines.
“We are recording ‘Sonic 3′, and I just cut Jim Carrey’s hair before the camera. It was a lot of fun, and he wanted me to do it, he gave me a lot of confidence,” says Majdoub. Furthermore, once shaved, Carrey has been able to play his second character in the film, Dr. Gerald Robotnik, Eggman’s grandfather in the video game saga and shadow creator, in addition to also being the grandfather of Maria, a character who will also appear in the film.
‘Sonic 3′ is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 25.
