Jon Hamm (‘Mad Men’) picks the Marvel villain he’d like to play

Jonathan Majors’ (Kang) troubles with the law have Marvel Studios rethinking who could be the next big MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) villain in the current arc, and according to Screen Rant, there is one actor particularly interested in playing him: Jon Hamm (‘Mad Men,’ ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ ‘Fargo’). At 52, the American actor is immersed in the promotional campaign for Fargo Season 5, although he did not miss the opportunity to declare his unconditional love for Marvel.

Jon Hamm has stated that he is an unconditional fan of Marvel Comics “since I was probably single digits”, in addition to making it very clear that he would like to join the MCU, highlighting names like ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic 4′. And if we talk about the villain in question that he would like to play, it is none other than the same one that Marvel has on the table to replace Kang: Doctor Doom.

“Hopefully, whatever their plans are, they include me. But if not, I know that they have a pretty deep bench of folks that are ready to be a part of those stories. There are certainly a lot of stories in the X-Men world to be told. Fantastic Four as well, [like] Doctor Doom. There are so many great things out there. But yeah, I hope I get a chance. Who knows?,” commented Hamm.
