Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, the film series based on the world of the books by J.K. Rowling in 2001 about the magical creatures of the Harry Potter universe seems to have come to an end after three films, when at the time it was reported that there would be five in total. Jude Law, who plays Albus Dumbledore in this spin-off franchise, spoke with Variety about what could be the reason why this saga ends.

“I know it’s certainly on hold. My guess would be that, now that they’re doing ‘Harry Potter’ as a TV show, they’ll probably put their energy into that. I certainly haven’t heard that there’s anything on the horizon,” stated Jude Law. Fellow actor Eddie Redmayne who plays Newt Scamander spoke to ComicBook this week also stating that we had probably seen the last of the franchise.

The ‘Harry Potter’ universe seeks to return in style

Of five films that had been planned for ‘Fantastic Beasts’ it now seems that we will be left with three. Delivery after delivery the saga was less in terms of its collection. Now a project like the new ‘Harry Potter’ series on HBO aims to get all the attention of Warner Bros. This is the first live-action project based on the work of J.K. Rowling since ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’.

The series seeks to reach a new generation of fans, as well as those who have enjoyed ‘Harry Potter’ throughout their lives. Will it be up to the task?
