Update:

The Academy Awards ceremony is always full of contrasts. From the red carpet runway and everything that is said and happens before the main event, the public is hooked on hearing the comments that the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have for all the talent that has entertained us throughout a full year in movie theaters and even in our own homes by expanding their horizons to streaming premieres.

In an official statement, the 98th Academy Awards ceremony has announced an important decision that could mark a kind of generational crossover for its musical events during the ceremony. On the one hand, the global phenomenon ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ will feature a mix of traditional culture and modernity, with dances and musical instruments from Korean culture, to empower the voices of Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Reri Ami, who will perform ‘Golden’, one of the songs nominated in the Best Original Song category.

On the other hand, rather than a performance, the ‘Sinners’ segment will seek to be an extension of the heart of the film on the stage of the Dolby Theatre. Miles Caton and Raphael Saadiq will lead a monumental stage production to perform the nominated song ‘I Lied To You’, surrounded by a dream cast that includes legends such as Buddy Guy and powerful voices such as Brittany Howard. It will be a visual and auditory tribute to the unique style of the film that promises to be the most cinematic moment of the night.
