Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair finally gets a digital release, arriving earlier than expected
Tarantino’s definitive cut will be available digitally for the first time this month.
After decades of being relegated to rare festival screenings and legendary status among cinephiles, Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair made its debut earlier in December. And while there were those lucky enough to watch this version in cinemas, those who couldn’t won’t have to wait too much as it is makings its digital debut sooner than expected.
Apple TV has listed the elusive cut for pre-order at $19.99, with a confirmed release date of February 17, 2026. This version is the realization of Tarantino’s original vision: a single, seamless epic that clocks in at over four hours. It combines Vol. 1 (2003) and Vol. 2 (2004), removing the cliffhanger and recap while adding several key sequences. For the first time outside of a theater, home viewers will be able to experience the “House of Blue Leaves” showdown in full, vibrant color, along with an extended anime sequence detailing the origin of O-Ren Ishii.
Here comes The Bride
The digital launch follows a period of high-profile activity for the franchise. This past December, Lionsgate gave the film a nationwide theatrical run, even offering limited screenings in 70mm and 35mm formats. This was preceded by a collaboration with Fortnite, which featured an animated short titled The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge. This short, which starred Uma Thurman and used motion capture technology, brought to life a “lost” script sequence where the sister of Gogo Yubari hunts down The Bride.

In our review, Vladimir Arteaga wrote: If you’re a Tarantino fan, the Beatrix Kiddo series is definitely a must-see, but if you’re just curious, it might be a bit of a slog, since in our opinion, after the climactic part, which is the fight with O-Ren (the end of Kill Bill: Vol. 1), everything goes downhill from there, although in the end, you get to see the lost chapter about Yuki’s revenge in a unique and unrepeatable moment.
