American Horror Story

The casting of Kim Kardashian for Season 12 of American Horror Story was a huge bombshell among fans of the long running series. The return of Emma Roberts to the series will be accompanied by the celebrity who will have a “fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying”, a role designed exclusively for Kim.

Kim, the big bombshell of American Horror Story, shares its first details

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy said of the signing: “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the American Horror Story family. Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

Murphy points to Halley Feiffer, who will serve as the season’s writer and showrunner. Filming is expected to begin in New York City in late April, with the unveiling set for sometime this summer.

Full screen

The friendship between the creative and Kardashian led them to slowly weave this step forward on the small screen. As The Hollywood Reporter shares, the two began discussing the project in the summer of 2022; specifically, they were looking for a “unique role” for the celebrity, which Feiffer has now crafted. Expectations are high, as it will be Kim Kardashian’s first major role outside of her own family’s reality show.

American Horror Story has always been known for taking on big names throughout its television career. The most famous, as it couldn’t be otherwise, was Lady Gaga, who worked on the show in 2015 and 2016. Her excellent performance served as a catapult for the rest of her career away from the microphone.
