Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 confirms a delay until 2025, alongside a new release date

The sequel to Kingdom Come Deliverance won’t be released this year, instead getting delayed until 2025.

One of the most anticipated RPGs of the next few months is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, but the question until now was... how many months? Today, after the Embracer Group investor meeting, we learned that it’s more than what we expected, as although its launch was scheduled for this year in 2024, it will now not arrive until 2025.

When will Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 come out?

The date revealed in this meeting is February 11, 2025, when the game by Warhorse will come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The Czech studio still has aspects to polish, so they have decided to delay the game for a few months until they have it 100% ready to go on the market, since some criticism of the original title was generated by its performance in the first days after launch until the arrival of a patch. Luckily, during the next week, in the context of Gamescom, we will have news about the game, such as at least 20 minutes of gameplay and the reveal of the collector’s edition with all its contents. This was confirmed by Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, PR Manager for Warhorse, on the studio’s official X account.

We can expect an even bigger game than the first, since the ambitious vision of the studio led by Daniel Vavra was not supported by a sufficient budget to be able to carry it out, despite a successful campaign in Kickstarter. However, it was a game developed with care, notable historical documentation, and good ideas, which will surely be reflected to a greater extent in this sequel.

At MeriStation we had the opportunity to enjoy a game session of a few hours of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, of which we will be able to share some impressions very soon.
