Kit Harington, star of Game of Thrones, on kissing Sophie Turner in his new movie: “It felt a bit weird”
The actress said it made her gag and that it was disgusting.
Kit Harington and Sophie Turner’s characters in Game of Thrones, Jon Snow and Sansa Stark, were siblings. They shared eight seasons of the hit HBO series, but now they have reunited in another production. In The Dreadful, their respective characters are lovers, so they have had to kiss.
“She was [the] one that sent that movie to me and somehow didn’t see what I saw in it,” Harington told E! News. I was like, ‘These guys, these are lovers, right?’ I felt very odd about that,” although it was a good opportunity to be with her again and work together. “It was slightly embarrassing, having to get on an apple box to kiss her because she’s about a foot taller than me. But other than that, my dignity was pretty intact.”
The actor enjoyed reuniting with Turner and said that their friendship had been rekindled: “It felt like being with family. It really did,” he said.
Sophie Turner felt even worse
The actress spoke a few months ago about the kiss in question and didn’t seem too happy about the situation: “We tried to forget about it, and then we arrived on set for the first kissing scene, and we were both gagging. Honestly, it was disgusting. It was the worst,” she said.
Sophie Turner has been cast as Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider series, which will be available on Prime Video.
