Update:

On November 26, ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,’ the new film by Rian Johnson, will be released, in which detective Benoit Blanc faces a new and intriguing case. Fans of this mystery and comedy saga couldn’t be more excited about its release, but inevitably, they are also wondering if this will be the last installment of the saga.

In 2021, Johnson signed a deal with Netflix to create two sequels to Knives Out, meaning he would no longer need to continue developing more stories. However, in statements to The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker said that both he and Daniel Craig (the actor who plays Blanc) “are already starting to formulate [ideas]” for a fourth film. “I don’t know why I would stop doing it if we could keep making them,” he said. Johnson went on to explain that one of the things that motivates him most to continue developing this universe is the possibility of working with a completely new cast in each film, as well as being able to tell a different story in each one.

‘Knives Out’ returns in style

While Johnson and Craig consider the possibility of making ‘Knives Out 4,’ fans of the series have an unmissable date at the end of the month. In the third installment, Benoit Blanc takes on a new case in which he must investigate a crime committed in a small Catholic Church in upstate New York. There he will meet a new cast of characters played by real movie stars, including Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, and Josh O’Connor.
