KonoSuba celebrates 10 years by confirming Season 4 and a new video game
Update:

During a special live-streaming event celebrating the KonoSuba’s 10th anniversary, it was officially confirmed that the anime has been greenlit for a fourth anime season. The announcement serves as the crown jewel in a year-long celebration dedicated to a decade of laughs, explosions, and useless goddesses.

The event, hosted by the main cast—the voice actors behind Kazuma, Megumin, Aqua, and Darkness—was packed with news that expands the KonoSuba universe beyond just the television screen. Among the most exciting reveals is the development of a brand-new video game for PC and mobile platforms, scheduled for release in 2026. This new title promises to let players dive back into the chaotic world, likely bringing fresh opportunities to manage (or mismanage) the beloved party of misfits.

A Decade of Chaos

The 10th-anniversary festivities don’t stop there. The franchise is pulling out all the stops with a physical exhibition of original works to be held at the UDX Building in Akihabara, Tokyo. Additionally, original author Natsume Akatsuki is penning a special audio drama, ensuring that the new content retains the sharp, subversive wit that made the series a standout in the crowded isekai genre. For those looking to relive the journey so far, a special re-run of past episodes will be available on YouTube for a limited time.

While the confirmation of Season 4 is what fans wanted to hear, patience will still be required. The production is officially underway, but no specific release window has been provided. Given the seven-year gap between the second and third seasons (the latter airing in 2024), fans are understandably cautious, though the current momentum suggests we hopefully won’t face another long hiatus. It also remains to be seen if Studio Drive will return to animate the series after successfully taking over from Studio Deen for the third season.
