What can we expect from the Direct before the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation?
What is clear is that Nintendo wants to say goodbye to its current console by giving it the spotlight before the spotlight turns solely to the Switch 2. The console still has unfinished business beyond Pokémon Legends Z-A, which is due out in late 2025 and is not expected to appear at the presentation.
One name is highlighted in red. Yes, we are talking about Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Yes, we are talking about Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It is the last big game that will receive the console in 2017, and its announcement dates back to the same year. It is the great sword that remains to participate in the catalog, so it is time to talk about the release date, yes or yes. It is one of the games that we expect to have total prominence during the Direct.
There are also other titles that have been in the news in recent months. The most talked about has been the new life that would take Kirby: Planet Robobot, originally for the 3DS in 2016. Everything points to the fact that we will see it in the form of a remastered port. On the other hand, there is always a third-party bullet that Nintendo usually has in the chamber.
The good news from this Nintendo Switch 2 pre-launch event is that all of the games featured will be playable on its successor. Thanks to the backwards compatibility of its successor, titles like Prime 4 itself and Pokémon Legends Z-A will be able to be enjoyed there without restrictions. And who knows when they might get a patch that improves performance by taking advantage of the new hardware’s capabilities.
