LEGO presents Smart Brick, its biggest revolution in decades: smart bricks that bring your creations to life
A new way to enjoy the legendary building blocks.

LEGO, the popular Danish toy company known for its building blocks, among many other things, will celebrate its 94th anniversary this August. With almost a century of existence behind it, the company has presented one of the biggest revolutions in decades at CES (the world’s most important technology event).
This is the Smart Brick, an incredible 2x4 piece of technology that can recognize the constructions we make thanks to sensors that react with lights and sounds depending on the piece we connect it to. For example, if we connect the Smart Brick to a car, the block will recognize the construction and start making sounds appropriate for the vehicle.

A whole new evolution in the Lego system
A new way to bring our creations to life with sound and light, breathing life into our constructions and taking the whole LEGO world to a new level. This is possible thanks to the company having built its own ASIC chip, a type of integrated circuit that is customized and adapted to perform a specific task.
