Limited Run Games
Limited Run Games revives classics like Tombi, Gex and Clock Tower
Many of our childhood games will come back to life on today’s consoles with a new visual aspect.
It has been so long since we last saw them that we had given up hope of seeing them again. Recently, when we talked about Tombi, Gex, or cult classics like Clock Tower, we did so with nostalgia and no expectations. So the string of announcements from yesterday’s Limited Run Games Showcase had us on the verge of tears. A shot of nostalgia straight to the heart.
Although Limited Run Games is usually dedicated to the distribution of special games and is known for the very limited and spectacular collector’s editions that it deals with, the company held its own showcase yesterday, where it announced that it has developed its own graphics engine, called Carbon Engine, and that it has acquired a number of licenses from our childhood that it will revive and adapt.
We leave you with a list of everything announced at the Limited Run Games Showcase. We have marked with an asterisk and bolded those games that will be brought back to life by the Carbon Engine, which will give them a new look and make them playable on current consoles. And for those worried about the possibility of a limited run, relax, as they will all be available in physical and digital form.
