Malcolm in the Middle reunion series gets first trailer and Hulu release date
The new four-episode special premieres on Hulu this April, 19 years after the original series ended.

It has been just over a year since the announcement of a revival that no one expected. Nineteen years after its final season, Malcolm in the Middle returns with a four-episode special called Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, which today released its trailer and premiere date. You can watch the trailer below:
A Reunion 19 Years in the Making
The new series picks up nearly two decades after we last saw the family. The trailer reveals a grown-up Malcolm, played once again by Frankie Muniz, who has seemingly cracked the code to a happy life. His secret? Completely cutting ties with his parents and brothers. “My life is fantastic now,” Malcolm declares in the footage. “All I had to do was stay away from my family!” However, this peace is short-lived.
The plot kicks into gear when his parents, Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek), demand his presence at their 40th wedding anniversary party. This forces Malcolm and his own daughter, played by Keeley Karsten, to reintegrate into the family dynamic he spent years avoiding. As expected, the reunion does not go smoothly, bringing back the frantic energy and slapstick disasters that defined the original.
Much of the original main cast will return. Alongside Muniz, Cranston, and Kaczmarek, the revival features Justin Berfield returning as Reese, Christopher Masterson as Francis, and Emy Coligado as Piama. However, as announced a few months ago,
Erik Per Sullivan, who played Dewey, will not be returning because he has left acting to devote himself to his studies. In his place will be Caleb Ellsworth-Clark.
