Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch 2 has not yet been released, and fans are already calling for these items to be removed

Some Mario Kart fans sure don’t want to see these items again.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a reality. A console that we will know more about next April 2 in a Nintendo Direct. One of the most anticipated titles on the new Nintendo machine will be the new Mario Kart, the popular driving saga that has the merit of being the best-selling title for the Nintendo hybrid in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The most complete game in the series and a very high bar for a new installment that has to surprise with its new features, but will it dare to take anything away? That’s what some players on Reddit have been asking themselves, and among all the objects we can get, there are some that they prefer not to see in the new version.

One of them is the Blooper, the squid that throws ink at the enemies in front of you, obscuring their vision for a few seconds; this object has practically no effect on the most experienced players, so many argue that it should no longer be part of the game.

Mario Kart and its variety of items

Apart from the Blooper, there are two other items that sound strong: the Coin and the Piranha Plant. The Coin allows us to go faster the more we have, so we can reach the maximum speed when we have 10, but many players would prefer to see more defensive items when they are in the top positions and not so many coins.

On the other hand, the Piranha Plant is placed as a companion, stretching out for a while to eat coins or bite opponents and give us a little boost. A fun object, but one that many users find too situational and not very effective in a competitive setting.
