Mark Zuckerberg says Quest 3 is better than Apple Vision Pro

One of the great sensations at the beginning of 2024 is the Apple Vision Pro, the new Apple device could be a reality that is already here and will be normalized over time in society. Mark Zuckerberg, the popular creator of Facebook and CEO of Meta, has dedicated a video on his Instagram profile in which he gives his opinion on the Apple Vision Pro and compares it with Meta’s Quest 3.

Zuckerberg does not seem impressed by the Apple Vision Pro. As he points out, he initially expected it to be a better product, and that his Quest 3 would stand out in terms of value for money, but after testing them, he now thinks Quest 3 is “the better product, period. [...] Quest is better at the vast majority of things that people use mixed reality for.” Among them, Zuckerberg said, the Quest 3 has “precision controllers that are great for games,” allowing for a “lot deeper” immersive content library.

To highlight the quality of the Quest 3, Zuckerberg points out that the video in question in which he expresses his opinion was recorded by a person sitting in front of him with the Quest 3. In addition, according to the creator of Facebook, they can perform many of the functions performed by the Apple Vision Pro, but being 120 grams lighter, “without cables in the way and with a wider field of view”.

All criticism of Apple’s new device? No, Zuckerberg highlighted the device’s eye tracking, which allows for a “nice interface”. Faced with possible criticism, he made it clear that “some fanboys get upset whenever anyone dares them to question about Apple will be the leader in a new category. We will have to wait and see the future of this new technology and devices, but the competition is expected to be fierce.”
