Marvel Studios

Marvel could already have a new “Big Bad” ready to replace Jonathan Majors’ Kang

Jonathan Majors’ problems with the law have caused some big changes at Marvel Studios, and it could be that they already have a plan to replace his character as the villain of the MCU.

Update:
Dr Doom Marvel

Jonathan Majorsproblems with justice have put his future in the Marvel Universe on the line, with it becoming increasingly weaker. At Marvel Studios, they are aware that the latest films have not had the expected performance, so various sources suggest that Kevin Feige, its president, has very radical ideas in mind to turn the corner and return to the path of success. Among these rumored ideas is the rescue of two characters, obviously disappeared after ‘Avengers: Endgame’, but also the sudden dismissal of Majors, and with it, the hasty end of Kang the Conqueror.

However, Kang was the Big Bad of this new Marvel saga, called the Kang Dynasty, and they need a new villain to confront the entire host of superheroes from the House of Ideas. Apparently they already have a name in mind, and it’s none other than Dr. Doom.

Kang’s problem at Marvel is important

It gave people pause given that ‘Quantumania’ didn’t exactly land,” stated an anonymous source, as can be read on ComicBookMovie. “executives discussed backup plans, including pivoting to another comic book adversary, like Dr. Doom.”

The situation is not simple, since another source that claims to already know the end of the second season of ‘Loki’, which is still being broadcast on Disney+, says that its ending sets up the entire upcoming Kang plot. “Marvel is truly f*cked with the whole Kang angle. And they haven’t had an opportunity to rewrite until very recently [because of the WGA strike]. But I don’t see a path to how they move forward with him”

However, rumors have not stopped rising, like that Marvel could rename the next Avengers movie, since it’s set to be ‘The Kang Dynasty’, and today it does not seem that this is appropriate considering Majors’ problems. On the other hand, Dr. Doom has been appearing in the pools for a long time to reach the MCU, with some having even asked Cillian Murphy (‘Oppenheimer’, ‘Peaky Blinders’) about the possibility of playing him, to which he would have responded “if they send me a script, I will read it.”
