Marvel is ready for the mutants to return with X-Men: From the Ashes
Marvel Comics is launching a new X-Men comic series next year, bringing with it a new beginning after the Krakoa saga that saw their interdimensional rise and fall.
Marvel has announced the return of the X-Men with a new line of comics, a reboot after the end of the Krakoa era by author Jonathan Hickman. The series will return in July 2024, great news for fans of the most popular group of mutants in the entire Marvel universe, who in recent years have experienced a golden era in comics in which both the story and the characters of X-Men were completely recontextualized, establishing where and how they fit into the Marvel Universe. Hickman left earlier than expected, leaving the project in the hands of others with all kinds of results, so after the end of this era, a new relaunch titled: ‘X-Men: From the Ashes’ is set to arrive.
‘X-Men: From the Ashes’, a clear reference to a new reboot of the work, highlighting the rebirth of the X-Men with imagery of, who else? The Phoenix. The Krakoa era will end early next year with ‘Fall of the House of X’ and ‘Rise of the Powers of X’, which will close story beats from the present and the future throughout a war across time.
The long-awaited return of the X-Men
Marvel has enormously successful superheroes and licenses, but the X-Men are without a doubt one of the most notable. There is a lot of expectation for their return to the big screen, and although we still have to wait to know just how that’ll happen, the world of comics eagerly receives news about them. In 2024 we will not only receive a new comic about them, but also ‘X-Men ‘97′, the long-awaited animated series in which Wolverine and Storm will be the protagonists, with a style that tries to emulate the 90s series on which it’s based and that will bring the mutants back into the news.
