Marvel officially delays its biggest upcoming movies: from Avengers to Captain America

Disney has confirmed shifts in their Marvel Studios release schedules, with most of the upcoming productions getting delayed.

Update:
Marvel officially delays its biggest upcoming movies: from Avengers to Captain America

Bad news for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Disney has shared a new schedule for its productions on the big screen. From Captain America: Brave New World to Avengers: Kang Dynasty, the biggest upcoming Marvel names have a new release date, way beyond what was previously expected:

What is the new Marvel release calendar?

  • Deadpool 3 (no official title) – May 3, 2024
  • Captain America: Brave New World – July 26, 2024
  • Thunderbolts – December 20, 2024
  • Blade – February 14, 2025
  • Fantastic Four – May 2, 2025
  • Avengers: Kang Dynasty – May 1, 2026

The most surprising delay is that of the new Avengers chapter, which moves its date a whole year later than the initial plans. There is no doubt that the ongoing writers’ strike, among other factors, has had an impact on the course the studio had planned. All of them are part of the expected final stretch of Phase 5 and the introduction to Phase 6.

What doesn’t change is the release schedule for this 2023. The closest production to release right now is the Secret Invasion series, which will premiere on June 21 exclusively on Disney+. Three more series will follow, Echo, Ironheart, and Loki Season 2. On the other hand, the next time we visit the cinema it will be with the highly anticipated The Marvels, scheduled for November 10.

Back in May of this year, we witnessed the end of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. Volume 3 closed the journey of this family of misfits through the universe. “In short, we left Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 really happy. It is one of Marvel’s most emotional films and alongside Spider-Man: No Way Home, the best the brand has made since the final firecracker of The Avengers. We have no problem affirming that our favorite MCU trilogy closes with it “, we said in our review.
