Marvel reportedly preparing ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ ticket presales ahead of first trailer
The latest report also points to a massive 2-hour, 45-minute runtime for the next Avengers blockbuster.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is, relatively speaking, getting closer and closer. There are still 5 months until its release, and Marvel Studios might already be looking for ways to ramp up the hype. Before they have to release a trailer, reveal more plot details, or wait until the end of the month after the release of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’—the date when ticket presales begin—it might be much closer than we imagine.
According to exclusive information from The Hollywood Reporter, presales for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ could begin next week, starting July 20. These presales will be focused on Infinity Vision theaters, the brand Disney created after Warner Bros. cornered the IMAX market with the release of ‘Dune Part III’, which will premiere alongside ‘Doomsday’.

Along with this information, details about the potential runtime of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ were also revealed. Although it is not yet official, and according to the media outlet, the film is expected to run about 165 minutes (2 hours and 45 minutes), making it the second-longest film in the entire MCU, behind the 181-minute ‘Avengers: Endgame.¡ While this runtime is not yet official, it is believed to be an estimate for ticketing purposes.
For now, we’ll just have to wait and see if these details match up with what Marvel Studios and Disney have in store. We may get more official details ahead of Marvel’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25. And who knows, maybe we’ll even have a first trailer on the way.
