Marvel sets ‘VisionQues’t premiere date on Disney+, closing out the WandaVision TV saga
Paul Bettany returns as White Vision when the series debuts on Disney+ in October.
After nearly five years, we’ll finally get to solve one of the biggest mysteries Marvel Television has left us with: What happened to White Vision? It was confirmed during Tuesday’s Upfronts presentation that the highly anticipated series ‘VisionQuest’ now has a release date on Disney+.
‘VisionQuest’ is set to arrive on the streaming service on October 14, bringing to a close what Marvel has dubbed the WandaVision trilogy, which began with 'WandaVision’ in 2021 and continued with 'Agatha All Along’ in 2024. The series will once again feature Paul Bettany in his role as Vision and will begin immediately after the events of WandaVision, where he was reconstructed by S.W.O.R.D. and initially stripped of emotional agency, before recovering the memories of the original Vision. Although details of the story are scarce for now, the series is expected to follow this Vision as he restores his humanity.
A Reunion of Shadows and Artificial Intelligence
In addition to Bettany, the series will feature some familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including James Spader, who returns as the evil robot Ultron. Ruaridh Mollica returns as Tommy Maximoff (aka Thomas Shepherd/Speed), and Faran Tahir reprises his role as Raza from the original ‘Iron Man’ film. Joining them will be Todd Stashwick as the bounty hunter Paladin, T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Emily Hampshire as EDITH, Orla Brady as FRIDAY, Henry Lewis as DUM-E, Jonathan Sayer as U, and James D’Arcy as JARVIS.
The series will be led by showrunner Terry Matalas and will consist of eight episodes. With ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ still more than six months away, there’s plenty of time to binge-watch ‘WandaVision’, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, and ‘Agatha All Along’ all over again to refresh your memory on what’s happened in that corner of the MCU.
