Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 won’t have one of the funniest features that GTA V did

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will allow you to change characters at almost any moment during open-world exploration, but it missed the mark on this feature.

PlayStation Showcase

Today there is less than a month left until Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 arrives in stores, and obviously, we are learning more details as the date approaches. Now we can know more details about how we can switch between characters at any time, and as we know, we can control both Peter Parker and Miles Morales... but we will never find them carrying out normal citizen tasks.

And as we remember, in the fantastic GTA V, it was possible to catch Trevor, Michael, or Franklin doing not very presentable things, especially the first of them, but in the case of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, both will always be dressed in the Spidey suit.

“If it’s a player-controlled switch, which happens in the open world, because it’s in gameplay then you’ll be in your suit,” Jacinda Chew, art director, told Games Radar. What will be curious is that, while we cross the New York skyscrapers with Peter or Miles, it is possible that we find the other also involved in the arrest of a crime, we won’t get their help if we’re the ones in trouble.

Iterative, yes, but much more and better

Recently we were able to play this promising sequel that, while it isn’t a 180-degree change compared to the proposal of the original, is a bigger and better game, with side content that they have assured will be of great quality.

“Insomniac is about to give us one of the best superhero games ever and a sequel that seems to improve on everything from the installments that precede it,” said our colleague David Arroyo in his impressions. “The surprise does not lie in its formula, but in the fact that the company continues to deliver games of such quality at the rate at which it does.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 arrives on PlayStation 5 on October 20.
