Atlus

Metaphor RE Fantazio is a new Atlus RPG that aims to surpass Persona

Atlus’ Project Re Fantasy springs back to life with a new name, looking astounding in a new trailer unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023.

Just how many games did Atlus prepare for the Xbox Summer Showcase?! Microsoft and Phil Spencer were serious about bringing the Xbox brand closer to Japan. The Japanese developer announced during the event Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload (both available on Game Pass from day 1), but not content with it, they’ve also resurrected the long-awaited Project Re Fantasy to transform it into Metaphor RE Fantazio.

It is a new fantasy drama from the team that made Persona 3, 4, and 5, which is coming out at the end of 2024. Seeing what was shown in his new trailer, it could not look better. A huge world, lots of companions, a travel system and days and nights, turn-based combat, and anime aesthetics. There is only one possible conclusion: keep an eye on it.

All the conferences of “Not E3″ 2023

Although it was pretty impressive, the Microsoft event is not the only one we’ve had these days. Even when E3 2023 was canceled, many companies stuck to the month of June and took advantage of the middle of the year to show their projects to the world. These are the summaries of some of the biggest conferences held so far:

What conferences do we have left?

And these are the conferences and video game events that we still have ahead of us:

  • Capcom Showcase
  • Ubisoft Forward
  • PC Gaming Show 2023

You can check here the schedules of all events. Even without E3, with as much game and announcement as there has been, the future of video games looks brighter than ever.
