Spider-Man, but with Miles Morales behind the mask, will make the jump to live-action soon. This was confirmed by Amy Pascal, producer at Sony Pictures, announcing that they have plans for a live-action version of the character after his successful appearances both in animated films and in video game form, in addition to the extremely popular Marvel comics. For now it is unknown if the Miles Morales of the live action cinema will be part of the Spider-verse of Sony Pictures together with Marvel -sharing the universe with Venom, Morbius, Kraven and Madame Web- or if it will belong to the MCU next to Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. Or maybe he will jump between the two universes as certain characters have done in recent times?

Miles Morales’ Spider-Man will make the leap to live-action

“It’s all happening”, Amy Pascal herself confirmed in a recent interview with Variety in which she was asked if one day we would see Miles Morales in a live-action movie. “You’ll see all of it”, she continued about the possibilities of seeing a Miles Morales in live-action, in addition to confirming that Spider-Woman will have her own animated film. Producer Avi Arad added that we will see Spider-Woman “sooner than you expect”.

Some theories already suggest that the Miles Morales of the animated films of the arachnid multiverse will make the leap to live-action in the upcoming third part. Today, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse premieres, in which Miles Morales travels through the multiverse while a spider-man legion from all universes tries to hunt him down.

Regarding Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland as part of the MCU, it is confirmed that its development has been paralyzed by the recent Hollywood writers’ strike, like many other projects: “Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are,” Pascal began to explain. “We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started,”she concludes.
