Minecraft Legends: Release date, size, price and available platforms

We tell you everything you need to know about the launch of the new video game set in the Minecraft universe.

Gather your troops to save the pixelated world of Minecraft Legends. Strategy and action merge in this long-awaited offering from Mojang, a new video game set in the Minecraft universe that promises hours of fun. With only a few days left until its official launch, we leave you with the main points that you need to know about the arrival of the game.

When will Minecraft Legends be released, price, editions, and platforms?

The wait is almost over. Mojang’s new game will be available next Tuesday, April 18th on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Of course, as with all Xbox Game Studios titles, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers will have access to the game the day it launches, so they won’t have to pay an extra dollar.

The price of Minecraft Legends depends on the edition. The Normal edition costs $39.99 and includes the base game, while the Deluxe edition costs $49.99. The latter includes a hero skin, four mounts, and an additional mount skin when it becomes available.

How big is Minecraft Legends?

The PC requirements on Steam indicate that players will need about 24 GB of free hard drive space, although the actual number will be around 10 GB. On the other hand, the installation on Xbox (before applying any patches) will require about 7.2 GB. While it is still unknown what it will occupy on PS4 and PS5, the Switch has been officially unveiled: according to its file in the Nintendo eShop, the game will take about 6.7 GB.

MeriStation has described Minecraft Legends as “an amazing Age of Empires in miniature,” so we invite you to read the in-progress review to find out everything there is to know about the game.
