Mistfall Hunter, a soulslike extraction multiplayer RPG, has been announced on the latest Xbox Partner Showcase

Announced during the latest Xbox Partner Showcase, Mistfall Hunter is a new kind of multiplayer extraction game that takes inspiration from the soulslike genre

The upcoming Mistfall Hunter promises to shake up the extraction RPG genre, blending intense Dark Souls-inspired combat with the high-stakes atmosphere of games like Escape from Tarkov. Developed by Bellring Games, this third-person action PvPvE game throws players into a Nordic-inspired post-apocalyptic world where survival is the only goal.

Set in the aftermath of Ragnarökmistfall, Mistfall Hunter sees players take on the role of Gylden Hunters—resurrected warriors tasked with battling through the fog-ridden lands corrupted by Gyldenmist. The stakes are high: defeat monstrous bosses and corrupted enemies, or turn on fellow hunters to steal their hard-earned spoils. But beware—dying means losing everything you’ve collected.

What makes Mistfall Hunter stand out is its seamless mix of Soulslike combat and tactical extraction mechanics. Players can switch between classes like Mercenary, Sorcerer, or Blackarrow, and adapt their fighting style by selecting different weapons and magic. Whether you’re launching fast-paced melee attacks or plotting deadly ambushes with friends, every decision feels weighty, thanks to the game’s punishing death system.

For fans of brutal difficulty and tense PvPvE encounters, Mistfall Hunter offers a fresh take on both the Soulslike and extraction genres. Expect to face off against corrupted beasts, legendary fallen heroes, and even demigods as you fight to secure Gyldenblod and restore hope to a dying world. With survival on the line, only those with the sharpest swords—and wits—will escape the mist alive.
