‘My Hero Academia’ celebrates its 10th anniversary with an emotional short live-action film

An emotional video about the passing of time for two brothers and the teachings of All Might has been released to celebrate 10 years of My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia’ almost immediately became one of the most popular mangas of weekly Shonen Jump, the most prolific Japanese comic magazine in the world. Having debut back in 2014, a decade has already passed and the manga and anime industry sees us grow, serving to many as a way to organize the memories that fill us with nostalgia and emotion. With that emotion, passion, and feeling of nostalgia, Jump has uploaded a short live-action film onto their YouTube channel to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary.

Titled ‘Succession’, the video shows the life of a boy named Haruto as he records himself at various points during his life, cheering himself on and pushing himself to never give up after hardships, rejection, and failures throughout the years.

By the end of the short-film, it is revealed that they actually recorded all of this during ten years for his little brother, Kaito, for the moment where he’s no longer at home and he needs words of inspiration to tackle life. It all culminates in a scene that brings our memories back to the opening moments of My Hero Academia, with All Might picking Deku as his successor and pushing him to become the greatest hero the world has ever seen.

‘My Hero Academia’ stands out in the spring 2024 season

This week’s premiere of the seventh season of ‘My Hero Academia’ is one of the biggest moments of the 2024 spring anime season, and followers of Kohei Horikoshi’s work will soon be able to see what happens after the intense events of the sixth season with society at brink of absolute chaos. As an introduction, ‘My Hero Academia: Memories’ has served in the last month as a compilation of four episodes for all those who wanted to catch up before the start of season 7.

A manga that a decade after its launch is close to coming to an end, and although the anime may still have one more season left, it is not far from concluding, so all the events that occur from now on will be of maximum importance in which there is no turning back with even heroes from other countries like Star and Stripe coming to help Japan in the conflict against All For One.
