‘My Hero Academia’ manga announces its end and the release date of the last chapter

Kohei Horikoshi’s work will end its story this summer.

My Hero Academia is one of the most popular manga in existence, with millions of fans around the world. Kohei Horikoshi’s work has 425 chapters to date, a number that will increase in the coming weeks with the last five chapters! That’s right: My Hero Academia already has an end date, and it will be chapter 430 that will close the story forever.

It will be in the legendary magazine Shūkan Shōnen Jump (in issues 36 and 37 to be released simultaneously) when My Hero Academia ends with the final chapter on August 5th. It is a moment that will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark in the hearts of fans.

The creator of ‘My Hero Academia’, Kohei Horikoshi, has said a few words about the end of the manga: “Five more chapters to reach the end with Deku and everyone else! After a lot of hard work, I’ve been drawing Deku and his friends for over ten years, thanks to your continued support. It’s like a dream come true - see you soon in Jump [the magazine that publishes the manga]”.

My Hero Academia, a legacy that lives on

The My Hero Academia franchise has a total of seven seasons under the production of Bones Studio. The first season premiered in April 2016 and ended in June with 13 episodes. It was followed by five more seasons of 25 episodes each, the last of which aired from October 2022 to March 2023. A seventh season premiered in May 2024 and has already aired 88 episodes.
