‘My Hero Academia’ Season 7 gets a release date and recap special

Crunchyroll has just announced when the next season of ‘My Hero Academia’ is releasing, bringing with it a recap as a prelude to the epic encounters of good versus evil to come.

Crunchyroll is getting ready for the return of one of the biggest titles in its library: My Hero Academia Season 7 is bringing its extremely climactic battles very soon to the anime streaming service. And to prepare viewers for one of the most exciting sets of story arcs in the series, a 4 episode special titled “My Hero Academia: Memories” will also be released before hand.

Season 7 of My Hero Academia will release its first episode on May 4, 2024, at 2:30am PDT/ 5:30am EDT on Crunchyroll. Afterwards, new episodes will be released every Saturday until the end of the season.

To liven up the wait, the studio behind the series, Bones, will release four-part special recap series, My Hero Academia: Memories, beginning on April 6, with new episodes every Saturday. This mini-series will act as a recap of everything that has happened in the anime, hopefully in an effort to skip the dreaded recap episode at the beginning of every new season so far. This is possibly meant as a warning to fans, as this next season is somehow even more intense and packed with important events than the previous one.

As far as we know, Season 7 of My Hero Academia will cover the “Star and Stripe”, “U.A. Traitor”, and at least the first parts of the “Final War” story arcs. Each of these arcs comes with incredibly epic fights, even bringing the #1 American hero of the MHA world, Star and Stripe, into a direct confrontation with All For One and Shigaraki.

We prefer not to go into too much detail about the rest of the arcs that will be covered in the new season, as each of them come with heavy implications as to where the show’s direction is headed throughout the next batch of episodes, but suffice it to say that seasons-long mysteries will come to light, and things are about to get crazy.
