Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto has plans to release a new manga

Possible new developments in the career of a renowned mangaka.

Masashi Kishomoto is one of the great mangakas of our time, a figure who achieved worldwide relevance with ‘Naruto’ and continues to do so with ‘Boruto’. Recently, the Japanese artist was at an event in France, and when asked about his current life, he spoke about the two things that are most on his mind today: “I think I have a goal, but the most important thing is to spend time with my family. I love the moments with the fans, I want to have a little more. I think that in these moments I find motivation and will for a new work.”

This is remarkable news, and it is a pleasure to see someone so recognized continue to try to stand out with new titles. Is this the first time he will be doing a project that goes beyond ‘Naruto’? No, he already did it with ‘Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru’, which failed to take off and after starting in 2019, ended in 2020 with only five volumes.

Kishimoto’s greatest work and its transition to live-action

The live-action phenomenon has been well established in the world of manga and anime for decades, with productions using real actors to recreate the adventures we so enjoy in their more natural formats. In recent years, this trend has increased thanks to quality productions such as ‘One Piece’ and ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ on Netflix, which have managed to break many established prejudices, which is why the live-action film of ‘Naruto’ is eagerly awaited by many of its followers.

The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for films such as ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ from Marvel Studios, and ‘Naruto’ already has the script ready, so it only remains to confirm more details of the movie and start shooting.
