NBA 2K24 confirms crossplay between all platforms, with some limitations

Visual Concepts has answered the plights of the community, promising that NBA 2K24 will bring with it a much-wanted feature to let everyone play together.

NBA 2K24 will add one of the most requested features by the community in the latest installments. Visual Concepts will add crossplay between the two next-gen systems, that is, PS5 players will be able to play against those on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on all game modes.

This information was confirmed by the developers through their official FAQ. Their current description suggests that crossplay will be limited to those two platforms. The last generation, Nintendo Switch and PC are being left out of being able to take advantage of this expansion of the NBA 2K community.

The title will go on sale worldwide next September 8, 2023 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch.

Kobe Bryant shines again on the cover of NBA 2K24

Although it has not yet been confirmed who will be the athlete on the cover of the Standard Edition, we know that Visual Concepts is once again betting on a legend in the rest of the special editions. Kobe Bryant jumps to the court again both in the edition that adopts its same name as in the Black Mamba Edition. The first is from his first stage in the Los Angeles Lakers with the number 8, while the second is with the already legendary 24 of the Angelenos.

Kobe’s appearance goes beyond being a featured image. We know that NBA 2K24 will have a game mode called Mamba Moments, where players can recreate some of his career-defining moments. From the matches with exorbitant scores to his mythical performances during the finals for the ring. We can also expect a technological leap in the level of animations and movements that will be exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions.
