NBA 2K25 Showcases New Features and Improvements Thanks to ProPlay Technology

September 6th (September 4th for those who reserve it) is a very important day for basketball and video game lovers, as it is the date chosen for the launch of NBA 2K25, the long-awaited basketball simulator developed by 2K. And this year it arrives with very important new features, especially in terms of realism and technical and playability. Much of what’s to come in terms of on-court mechanics can be seen in the video below, which features NBA stars such as Lebron James, Jayson Tatum, Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kyrie Irving.

The developers of the game are committed to realism, and to deliver the experience that fans of the saga demand, more than 9,000 animations have been created thanks to ProPlay technology, using real footage from the NBA itself. 2K explains that we are facing one of the biggest changes in the franchise in 15 years in terms of animations with and without the ball, dribbling and both defensive and offensive transitions. A level of realism that requires the player to evaluate the risk of every decision.

Of course, the game’s AI has improved compared to previous installments, resulting in a more realistic and challenging experience, capable of adapting to each player’s profile. Speaking of adaptation, the studio has implemented a mode called Tutorial 2K, in which players can practice from scratch and try to adapt to all situations, training to master everything from basic actions to the most advanced moves.

NBA 2K25 will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 6. Those who pre-order the game will be able to start playing on September 4.
