NBA 2K26 reveals the top 10 ranked players and the first details of MyCareer
Visual Concepts reveals the top 100 players, while the new MyCareer mode delves deeper into the cinematic narrative.
One of the most eagerly awaited moments in a sports game is finding out who the best players are in each installment. Will our athlete be among the best? Will we encounter results we didn’t expect? Does one player’s stats really surpass another’s? Visual Concepts is ready to enter this year’s controversy and has released the top 10 best players who will appear in NBA 2K26 at the time of its release.
Through a social media post, the NBA 2K team released this morning the top 10 players who will be featured in the game’s launch, with Nikola Jokić being this year’s best player with a rating of 98, surpassing players such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Luka Dončić. Along with this, the top 100 player ratings were also presented, showing how some of the players’ ratings have fluctuated compared to last year.
The top 10 highest-ranked players in NBA 2K26 are as follows:
- Nikola Jokić, Denver Nuggets – 98 OVR
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder – 98 OVR
- Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks – 97 OVR
- Luka Dončić, Los Angeles Lakers – 95 OVR
- Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves – 95 OVR
- Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors – 94 OVR
- LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers – 94 OVR
- Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics – 94 OVR
- Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs – 94 OVR
- Kevin Durant, Houston Rockets – 93 OVR
A look at Out of Bounds
In addition to announcing the best players, the trailer for NBA 2K26’s MyCareer cinematic-style story mode, ‘Out of Bounds,’ was also released. Narrated by Spike Lee, who wrote and directed MyCareer mode 10 years ago, this trailer tells the story of a boy who goes from high school to the Golden State Warriors.
According to 2K, this version of MyCareer features “5 movies full of stories and content.” And depending on your performance and decisions, there are numerous possible outcomes.
NBA 2K26 will be released on September 5 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo consoles, and PC.
