Eevee Grove is available in Pokémon TCG Pocket since Thursday, June 26, 2025, and among its 107 new cards, there are several that stand out above the rest. In this text we review which are the ten best cards of this new expansion. As usual, we anticipate that not all of them are new Pokémon, and there are several surprises in the list.

Tsareena

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Tsareena is the last stage of Bounsweet’s evolutionary line. Its unique move is very dangerous not because of the damage it inflicts, but because of its additional effect. Kick Down deals 50 damage, a low amount for a Stage 2 Pokémon. However, it causes the opponent to show a random card from his hand and must return it to the deck. This can throw off a multitude of strategies, and can even stun the opponent moderately, limiting him to a single card draw turn after turn.

Primarina ex

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Primarina ex, introduced in Eevee Grove, is another Pokémon to watch out for. It is the last stage of Popplio’s evolutionary line, and, like its standard Celestial Guardians version, it also has great healing potential. For one thing, at 180 HP, it’s a real monster, possessing durability on par with other popular in-game tanks like Venusaur ex. Its basic move isn’t bad; Hydro Pump deals 40 points of damage, with the possibility of dealing an additional 40 points of damage if we have at least two Water Energies instead of just one. However, the star of the show is Sparkling Aria, its most powerful move: it deals 100 damage and also heals 20 health points to Primarina ex, allowing it to stay in play longer.

Sylveon

Eevee Grove’s Sylveon has great potential and synergizes very well with decks focused on evolutions, such as Eevee’s own. Its only move, Evoharmony, deals only 40 damage, but there’s a catch: it will deal an additional 30 points of damage for each evolved Pokémon in our Bench. In other words, it can do up to 130 points of damage in exchange for only two Energies, which is a barbaric amount in exchange for a minimal investment.

Alcremie

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Alcremie is the evolution of Milcery. This sweet, milky Pokémon doesn’t seem like much of a threat... until you consider its true, devastating latent power. It has only one move, Sweets Overload, which requires only one Energy of any type. The damage it deals will be 40 multiplied by the number of times we have used the Sweets Relay move in the same game, which has unlimited potential, capable of annihilating any creature in a single hit. It has good synergies with other Pokémon such as Milcery itself, Swirlix and Slurpuff, Vanillite and Vanillish and Appletun, which can use Sweets Relay. For this reason, Alcremie can finish games on its own without much trouble.

Umbreon

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

The Umbreon from Eevee Grove is another threat to watch out for, because it also allows you to stun the opponent. Its unique move, Dark Binding, deals 40 damage and only needs one Dark Energy to be used. As an additional effect, it prevents the Pokémon in the opponent’s Active Stall from being able to attack during the next turn if it is a Basic Pokémon. Since many ex-powerful Pokémon are Basic Pokémon -which do not evolve from any other-, this Umbreon becomes quite an interesting anti-meta tool.

Dragonite ex

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Dragonite ex debuts in Pokémon TCG Pocket via Eevee Grove. The ex version of Dragonite may not look like much, but it’s a very efficient game-finisher. Its single move, Giga Impact, deals a whopping 180 damage, but in return it won’t be able to attack the following turn. However, since Dragonite ex’s intended use is to annihilate an opposing Pokémon in a single hit to gain the points needed to win, this doesn’t matter to us. In any case, the damage inflicted is so absurdly high that it can wipe out any Pokémon currently in the game in a single attack unless they use some Item, Pokémon Tool or Supporter that reduces the damage taken or increases maximum health.

Eevee ex

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Eevee is the big star of the miniset, and the new Eevee ex is one of the best cards in the expansion because it brings more robustness to decks centered around it and any of its evolutions. Eevee ex differs from the normal Eevee in that it has more health-90 HP versus the 60 HP of the various standard Eevee-as well as a move that deals reasonable damage-for a Basic Pokémon-consistently: Bite, which deals 30 damage. In addition, it can be evolved without problems even if it is an Pokémon ex thanks to its Veevee ‘volve Ability.

Snorlax ex

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Snorlax also gets an ex version in Eevee Grove. Snorlax ex is a fearsome Pokémon: it has 160 HP, and, in addition, its new Full-Mouth Manner Ability allows it to automatically heal 20 HP at the end of each turn if it is in the Active Spot. Its only move, Flop-Down Punch, has considerable power at 130 damage, but it will put Snorlax to sleep. Snorlax’s characteristics make it a veritable wall of meat, especially if we equip items like Leftovers and have support Pokémon like Shaymin Land Forme on the Bench.

Eevee Bag

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Eevee Bag is the only Object introduced in the Eevee Grove miniset. However, it is very useful thanks to its versatility: it has two different effects, and we choose which one to use. The first effect makes the attacks of Eevee’s evolutions inflict 10 points of extra damage. The second allows us to heal 20 points of damage to each of the Eevee evolutions we have in play. In other words, it offers great flexibility, which is ideal given how much games can change.

Penny

Neither Flareon nor Vaporeon: these are the 10 best cards of the A3b Eevee Grove miniset in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Last but not least, we have Penny, the trainer specialized in Eeveelutions that appeared in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It is an anti-meta Supporter card with great potential to win games on its own, as it allows you to search for a Supporter card from the opponent’s deck to copy its effect and use it immediately. In this way, toolbox decks become a tasting menu for Penny and her replication powers.
