Neither Javier Bardem nor Idris Elba: 007 First Light signs a music star to be the new James Bond villain
The Game Awards has revealed the face of the great villain in the new 007 First Light.

James Bond will face a familiar face from the world of celebrities. Lenny Kravitz will play the villain in the spy’s adventure in the video game. Its reveal at The Game Awards has made it clear that IO-Interactive is going all out. You can watch the trailer below this paragraph.
We’ve already taken an in-depth look at 007 First Light: the Uncharted 5 for spies that we’ve all been dreaming of.
During Gamescom 2025, we attended a private presentation to see 007 First Light running in real time. Our impressions were positive, except for the vehicle chases. “Everything is scripted to cause surprise, but the truth is that it gets a little messy. We don’t think it’s very epic. It doesn’t bring together situations that make you stick to the screen. Maybe because it’s one of the first ones, who knows. Our feeling is that it went on too long, even though we are in control of the steering wheel at all times.”
In conclusion, “At first glance, it seems that 007: First Light is faithful to the license, its tone, and situations. Perhaps a little too exaggerated (more than usual on the big screen), but there they are. Without having tried it out, it seems like a game that handles the variety of situations it faces well. We are eager to see what the missions are like in their entirety and how the epic moments measure up against the moments of infiltration.”
007: First Light will be released on March 27, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
