New Nintendo Direct announced for August 27: time, duration and how to watch online

Nintendo announces a new 40-minute Direct focused on details and news about all the upcoming games coming out on Switch in the next few months.

Although the rumors did not last long, Nintendo has already made it official, as this week we will have a new Nintendo Direct that will be a very special one. It will take place on August 27th at 10:00 am ET. And no, before you wonder what makes this Direct so special, no, we won’t be talking about the Nintendo Switch successor. This Nintendo Direct will be special because it will start as an Indie World Showcase, you know, those indie game presentations, and will continue with a Partner Showcase.

Nintendo’s social media mentions that this stream will last 40 minutes and will “feature both presentations back-to-back”. So get ready for tomorrow, we have some announcements coming up.

How to watch live the Nintendo Direct on August 27?

The new Nintendo Direct can be followed through Nintendo of America’s YouTube channel. As usual, in MeriStation we will also cover the event and if you miss it (or just want to know the most important), relax because at the end of the streaming we will have several summaries, news, impressions and reports and texts about what was announced.

What time and how long is the Nintendo Direct on August 27?

The Nintendo Direct on August 27 will take place at 10:00 AM ET and will last about 40 minutes. This will be its schedule throughout the United States:

  • 10:00 PM ET
  • 9:00 PM CT
  • 7:00 PM PT

What to expect from this Nintendo Direct?

As I mentioned at the beginning, the important thing to keep in mind is that it is very unlikely that we will see any Nintendo titles. Come on, on the one hand we have the titles that are for partners, meaning they are third party games, and on the other hand we have the Indie Showcase, where we will see independent titles. So if you’re expecting something new from Metroid Prime 4 or any of the Mario, Zelda and other titles, this won’t be the Nintendo Direct you’re expecting.
