New trailer for ‘Beetlejuice’ confirms Tim Burton’s classic is coming back in a big way

The eccentric director will release the highly anticipated sequel in September. Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder return after more than 35 years.

It is not often that more than three decades pass between a movie and its sequel. Nor is it common for the director to be the same so many years later, but as they say, rules are made to be broken, and the one and only Tim Burton is a good example of that: ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice′ hits theaters on September 6, 2024, and has just released a new trailer, which you can watch below the fold.

“Beetlejuice is back!  After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River.  Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened.  With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem,” reads the official synopsis of the movie.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice′ features an all-star cast: Michael Keaton, Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, Justin Theroux, Arthur Conti, Danny DeVito, Philipe Cates,...

Where to watch ‘Beetlejuice’ online

While we still have to wait a few months to enjoy the sequel, there is plenty of time to revisit - or discover - the original 1988 ‘Beetlejuice’, which is available on Prime Video.
