New video from The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom confirms swordplay, a Dark Link and the Still World!

The next Zelda game never fails to surprise, and this latest video brings us everything from automatons to a whole dark world to explore.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom’ will finally be a game that will not confuse those who are not very deep in this world. Yes, the protagonist of the game is the Zelda of the title and not the meddlesome Link who has been misleading people for decades.

That was the first of many surprises. It also fits in with Nintendo’s philosophy of always offering the impossible twist to the usual titles (without going any further, the incredible Super Mario Bros. Wonder). Well, here are five minutes of non-stop fun. Pay attention, because your head will explode with all the new things it shows.

A new world parallel to Hyrule, in the best tradition of the best Zelda games

For now, there is the Still World, in the tradition of the Dark World of A Link to the Past, for example, or the more recent underground world of Tears of the Kingdom. A fragmented world where our summoning skills will be put to the test, with its own enemies, dungeons, and bosses. What a treat.

But we also have something that can reassure the more traditional ones. The Swordfighter form allows us to wield a sword! But be careful, only for a limited time. We need to recharge a bar with material from the Silent World. Perhaps its limited use is a disappointment, but the level 1 display seems to indicate that we will be able to boost this ability more than enough.

Finally, other novelties such as various automatons that we can use to help us and, tachaaaan, something that looks like a Dark Link, like the one in Zelda 2, like in Ocarina... What a five minutes of excitement!

There will be a Zelda-themed golden Nintendo Switch Lite, the Hyrule Edition, which will go on sale on the same day as the game, September 26th of this year. Those of you who want the digital version can get a head start, as it is already available for pre-order.
